Special Days for Meditation – October 2014

Submitted by on October 5, 2014 – 3 Comments

The spiritual opportunities available this month probably make it the most auspicious month of this year. It is also the period when many important processes relating to Pralaya and the transition will intensify further.

The energies and processes will also be highly influenced by the eclipses that occur this month. They will induce a lot of churning and will be tough on those who still resist change and are unwilling to give up on adharma.

Most of the activities in the world operate through power controls, fear, superiority and arrogance and domination over the weak. It occurs at the individual level too. The Pralaya energies will induce many important shifts and the corresponding changes will be observed all over the world. There will be shakeups, growth and falls. For those who are aligning with Light, it will be a smoother journey. All these Pralaya related activities are the blessings from Lord Kalki directly.

The Rishis are working very hard at the astral level and doing their best to help everyone sail through this period smoothly. They again stress on the importance of identifying one’s negativity and shortcomings and then making efforts to outgrow them. We have to be completely impartial with ourselves and keep the Universal values as a reference to understand the right and wrong. The second aspect is to consciously start using Light and put efforts to make it a part of our everyday life.

This challenging phase will not necessarily be smooth sailing for all. We may get stuck with many of our inner issues or go through challenging situations. To face such possibilities, the Rishis suggest the following practice –

Practice 3 Rounds of Pranayama with Light.

Then imagine the issue/problem we have as a ball of energy in the centre of your chest. It can be suffocation, anger, bitterness, jealousy, being upset, sadness, our problems etc. Collect the issue as much as possible into the ball. You need not imagine any colour.

Then imagine the energy to spin and come out of you as a clockwise spiral which is transparent in colour. Keep spinning out and remove the energies in the form of a transparent spiral, till you feel lighter and good.

Then pass an abundance of love and Golden Light to the empty space within.

This simple but very effective technique can be practiced anytime to clear any of the inner issues. It can be practiced repetitively too for the same issue till we overcome it completely.

The important Days of October are –

8th October — Full Moon Day
                    — Lunar Eclipse — 1:45pm to 7:03pm IST
                                               (8:15am to 1:33pm UT/GMT)

The energies from this Lunar Eclipse will intensify the Pralaya phase. The Rishis use the expression “removing the knots of Pralaya” to describe the effects of the energies of the eclipse. It also will help every individual to prepare and mentally tune up to the ongoing processes and help them in navigating this difficult period.

The Rishis will also be anchoring many ‘capsules of energies’ all over the earth. They will be more in number in North America, Africa, Australia and east Asia.

These capsules are from Vasishtha Maharshi’s lab and have taken 1008 years each to be created and energised. Once anchored, they will help towards cleansing the negativity, spreading of more Light and will also assist Lord Kalki and the Rishis in their work.

Let us try to meditate for the entire period of the eclipse if possible. It will benefit each individual immensely. The Rishis suggest the following technique for this Eclipse –

Face North

Practice Pranayama with Light – 7 Rounds

Then make your Affirmations and Resolutions. You can also place your prayers before God.

Then imagine Bright Golden Light coming from your Soul and filling your body. With your intention, allow the Light to fill every cell in the system and imagine the entire body to be radiant with Golden Light.

Keep experiencing the connection of the Soul to the Physical Body and the Light in the system. Repeat the mantra “Om Antar-Atmayai Prakashaya Namaha” silently for the entire duration of the Meditation.

23rd October — Amavasya
                       — Diwali
                       — Worship of Devi Mahalakshmi

24th October  Solar Eclipse 1:07am to 5:22am IST
                                      (23rd 7:37pm to 11:52pm UT/GMT)

The tradition of the festival of Diwali began in the times of Lord Rama when the people of Ayodhya celebrated the return of their beloved king after he killed Ravana. The people decorated the entire city with lamps and celebrated this joyous occasion by bursting crackers.

The tradition of the festival continues even now where the festival of lights is celebrated for three days across India. People greet their relatives and friends, share sweets, decorate their houses with soft glowing lamps and burst fire crackers.

The new moon day, is the day of return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya.

The preceding day (22nd) is known as Naraka Chaturdashi. This was the day when the rakshasa, Narakasura was killed by Lord Krishna. The victory of God’s Light over the darkness of the demon is celebrated on this day.

The day following the New Moon day is known as Bali Padyami (24th). It is the first day of the new month, which commemorates the defeat of the demon king Bali at the hands of Vamana, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

These 3 occasions are symbolic of the victory of Light over darkness and hence also known as the festival of Lights. These days are the occasion when we can Light the Lamp within us. The energies available on these days will help to churn the negativities, remove the darkness and to adopt and manifest the virtues of Light in the system.

Meditate more during these days. They help in absorption of new energies and Light to a great extent and in hastening and strengthening of our Sadhana.

Imagine an abundance of Dark Blue Light coming from above and with your intention keep sending it to your Soul. Experience the Light.
