Special Days for Meditation — November 2015

Submitted by on November 3, 2015 – 4 Comments

Pralaya is a period where a lot of churnings occur, so that transformation can take place. The churnings are required to help everyone out of their set ways and rigid conditionings.

Pralaya brings the churnings and also wonderful opportunities for Spiritual growth. Efforts of years, can be attained in a short period during Pralaya. Those who are aware of the transition and the changes occurring have to realize the seriousness and commit their understandings into action.

Manifesting Inner Peace is the focus for each of us during this period. This is the reference point and the goal, to shape our Sadhana around. Go within, introspect further, manifest silence and to allow the Light to radiate with added intensity.

Establishing a relation with Light is easy. It can be done when we begin to interact with it in our daily lives. As we make more room for Light, it begins to radiate and work through us. When Light arrives, all darkness vanishes as Light brings knowledge, wisdom and energies.

The special occasions of Diwali and Purnima this month are amazing opportunities to experience new energies and absorb more Light.

This is also a period of miracles. The miracles have infinite ways of manifesting and each of them will help the individual to transform. If not the miracles, the transformation each one goes through can be observed.

The Special Days are –

11th Nov — Diwali

The tradition of the festival of Diwali began in the times of Lord Rama when the people of Ayodhya celebrated His return after killing Ravana and rescuing Sita. The people decorated the entire city with lamps and celebrated this joyous occasion by bursting crackers.

The tradition of the festival continues even now where the festival of lights is celebrated for three days across India. People greet their relatives and friends, share sweets, decorate their houses with soft glowing lamps and burst fire crackers. The new moon day, is the day of return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya.

The preceding day is known as Naraka Chaturdashi. This was the day when the evil rakshasa, Narakasura was killed by Lord Krishna. The victory of God’s Light over the darkness of the demon is celebrated on this day.

The day following the New Moon day is known as Bali Padyami. It commemorates the defeat of the demon king Bali at the hands of Vamana, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

These 3 occasions are symbolic of the victory of Light over darkness and hence also known as the festival of Lights. This is the occasion when energies are available to remove the darkness present within us and replace it with God’s Light and purity.

The Rishis suggest practicing the following technique on the 10th and 11th of November. This technique connects us to the special energies available and helps us to absorb and radiate with more Light.

Technique

Face North
Duration – 1 hour

First make a strong Sankalpa (affirmation) to allow more Light to enter you and to radiate through you. Pray that the Light guides you in every way and that you will follow the path of righteousness.

Then imagine Blue Light coming from above and allow the Light to fill up your entire body. Imagine the Light in every cell and in the DNA of each cell of the body. Experience this for sometime. Then imagine the Light to fill your astral body and imagine the astral body to also be radiating with the same Blue Light.

Keep repeating the mantra “Om Poorna Tejasayai Namaha” silently for the entire duration.

25th Nov — Purnima
                  Shiva Deepa
26th Nov — Vishnu Deepa

The energies of this Purnima and the occasion of Shiva and Vishnu Deepa help each to absorb more Light. During the occasion we shall have the energies from Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu on our Earth. These energies will specially help in the inner cleansing of our system and thereby help us to radiate with Light. These are also wonderful periods for contemplation, receiving Light and Communing with It.

From this occasion, the transition from the phase of Pralaya to Satya Yuga also begins. The duration it takes will depend on humanity’s pace of transformation.

The Rishis suggest practicing this technique on the Purnima day –

Face North
Duration – 1 hour

Pray to God and to the Rishis for receiving the new energies. Pray that the Light clears the Pralaya from within you and shine through you.

Then imagine light-Blue Light coming from above and filling you thoroughly. Then allow the Light to fill your Soul. Keep experiencing the Light.

Repeat the mantra “Om Ujwallaya Brahmaya Namaha” silently.

The above technique will help each individual to absorb the energies of Pralaya and Satya Yuga. You can practice it daily after the 25th Nov, if you want.
