Special Days for Meditation — February 2019

At the energetic level, February is the period where there is a large transition in the energies on Earth from the previous year to next year. Many new energies get anchored and spread during the New Year and Sankranti, which take time to stabilize and become effective. New directives are also given by the Shunya Masa Rishis which gradually get implemented.

We are gradually moving along in the transition to the New Age. With the passing days, the difficulties of our life and related issues also get tougher. The Rishis remind that the solution to these lie in the spiritual ways— Embrace more Light, deep breathe more often, and stick to your strengths as much as possible. These aspects will help you immensely to face all challenges.

Let us also consciously tune our thinking and emoting to the New Age. The physical realm may not reflect the New Age yet, but the energies available help us greatly at the level of our thoughts and emotions. We should reflect on our thoughts and emotions when we are encountering a problem or issue. This shows a truer picture on our thought patterns. We may fall short, but we can always learn from them and improve the next time. This is the way we move forward and grow. Transformation does not occur in a single attempt.

The Rishis will be anchoring new energies this month which help in bringing solutions to many unresolved issues. The energies also help in overcoming old patterns and conditioning.

This year, other than connecting to the year 2019 in general, connect to the respective month as well. Each month is being equipped with its own Light, Wisdom and they carry messages for humanity. Be open and have a sincere intent. We will be able to connect.

Vasanta Panchami is on the 10th of February. On this day, offer your respects, love and gratitude to Goddess Saraswati before your Meditation.

The Special days of February are —

4th February — Amavasya

This is a good day for reflection and contemplation. Generally be calm and composed on this day and also utilize the day to connect to your ancestors.

During the New Moon Day, many do feel a little low and withdrawn. In case you experience this, practice a few rounds of deep breathing and fill yourself with dark-Green Light. You should feel much better. The Light will also help you in multiple ways.

The following technique can be practiced on Amavasya to utilize the energies of this day productively and efficiently. It also helps us to understand the energies of Amavasya and that of our ancestors better.

Face North
Duration – 1 hour

Begin with 12 rounds of Pranayama with light-Blue Light

Pray to your ancestors for their blessings, guidance and also for ways to grow and evolve better.

Imagine bright light-Blue Light coming from the Moon and light-Green Light coming from your ancestors. Allow these energies to fill your entire body slowly and gradually. Experience for a couple of minutes and then imagine the body to be radiating and shining in this Light.

Then extend the same energies to your decisions and actions, behaviour and thought processes.

Keep experiencing this throughout the meditation. Repeat the mantra “Om Chandra Shaktiyai, Pitru Haritha Tejasayai Namaha”

12th February — Ratha Saptami

This day is observed as the birthday of the Sun God – Lord SuryaNarayana. We will receive an abundance of energies from the Sun God on this day. Connect to them and absorb as much as you can. These energies help immensely in rejuvenating our physical body and the cells in the body.

These special energies help in burning various karmas and also will guide us personally in the coming years. They also give us clarity and a better understanding of a Spiritual living.

These special energies will be available between 6am on the 12th till 7am on the 13th (your local time). Try to Meditate as much as possible in this period.

This would be a wonderful day for contemplation and taking spiritual resolutions. Meditate as much as you can on this day. Please practice the following technique on this day.

Face North-East
Duration – minimum 24 minutes; as long as you can.

Begin with 7 rounds of Pranayama with bright-Golden Light

First offer your love, respects and gratitude to Lord SuryaNarayana. Mentally connect to him and then through the Meditation, experience Him.

Imagine bright Orangish-Golden Light coming from Lord SuryaNarayana and allow it to fill your Body slowly and gradually. Then imagine the Light filling each and every cell in the body. Finally imagine the Light to fill your Astral body.

Keep experiencing the Light within throughout the Meditation.

Repeat the mantra “Om Surya Svarna Shaktiyai, Ratna Tejasayai Namaha” silently.

19th February — Purnima

This is a day to focus on our Spiritual side. It is for observation and experiencing. Through contemplation, we also understand our Sadhana and balance it with that of our material aspect of life.

The energies of the Full Moon also help us tune to the Divine values, Principles and guide us on ways to adopt them in our lives. The energies also contain aspects relating to shielding and protection from unwanted obstacles in our daily life.

The Earth is also in a position to receive large quantities of new energies on the Full Moon days. Usually the Rishis anchor many important energies and Light relating to that month and period on Purnima.

You can practice the following technique for Purnima

Face North
Duration – 1 hour

Begin with 7 rounds of Pranayama with bright-Golden Light.

Then imagine bright-Golden Light coming from Chandra Deva (Moon God) and filling your physical body. Experience for some time. Then extend the same Light to your Spiritual pursuits, Prayers and Sankalpa, and finally to your Sadhana.

Keep sending the Light throughout the Meditation and experience it. Repeat the mantra “Om Chandra Svarna Shaktiyai, Shresta Brahmaya Namaha” silently.
