Special Days for Meditation — November 2018

Submitted by on November 4, 2018 – 2 Comments

Satya Yuga may be exciting and fascinating but our growth towards it is challenging. The spiritual level to be reached is of a higher order and to attain this, we will definitely have to face many struggles and challenges. In this period of flux and constant changes, our efforts may not yield immediate tangible results but this should not dishearten us. We continue in our pursuit with faith and inner resolve. The energies of Pralaya help us to accommodate.

In this phase of Pralaya, there will be sudden developments and unpredictable situations. Many things suppressed from years surface abruptly. These are to be expected. The solutions to these may take time but bringing an awareness to humanity is the first step.

The aspects of turmoil as well as goodness is occurring together. For many, it is difficult to deal with the fluctuations. Going with the flow and surrender is the easiest way through this. When the situation is tough, let us take slow deep breaths and then accept the realities and the situation. Then we find a way through.

The murder of a journalist exposes how shallow and greedy the whole world is. It is easy for the world powers to sanction nations on human rights violation when it does not affect them. But when trade gets involved, morality and justice takes a back seat. The grip of money on ways of our life is still very strong.

There is anguish and condemnation at the individual level but at the collective levels, especially governments, we fall short. It highlights the need for more Light to descend and manifest on Earth. And this begins with us as individuals, strengthening the Light within.

¬       ¬       ¬

There are couple of occasions this month— Diwali and Shiva & Vishnu Deepa, which are very helpful to strengthen our Inner-Light. We will have special energies on our Earth during both these occasions and they strengthen our Spirituality. We can connect more with Light and seek guidance and assistance. Let us cultivate this habit till it becomes our inner nature. Let us make use of these unique opportunities.

The Special Day of November are—

6th Nov — Naraka Chaturdashi
7th Nov — Diwali, Worship of Goddess Mahalakshmi
                 Amavasya
8th Nov — Bali Padyami

The tradition of the festival of Diwali began in the times of Lord Rama when the people of Ayodhya celebrated His return after killing Ravana and rescuing Sita. The people decorated the entire city with lamps and celebrated this joyous occasion by bursting crackers.

The tradition of the festival continues even now where the festival of lights is celebrated across India. People greet their relatives and friends, share sweets, decorate their houses with soft glowing lamps and burst fire crackers. The new moon day, is the day of return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya.

The preceding day is known as Naraka Chaturdashi. This was the day when the evil rakshasa, Narakasura was killed by Lord Krishna. The victory of God’s Light over the darkness of the demon is celebrated on this day.

The day following the New Moon day is known as Bali Padyami. It commemorates the defeat of the demon king Bali at the hands of Vamana, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

These three occasions are symbolic of the victory of Light over darkness and hence also known as the festival of Lights. This is the occasion when energies are available to remove the darkness present within us and replace it with God’s Light and purity.

Spiritually, the period of Diwali is very important this year. We will be having energies from different Sources, each aiding our growth. Primarily, the three days are dedicated to Light. Connect to Light and absorb as much as you can. You can always pray for help, guidance and support from the Light. Along with this, be aware of the different aspects of Light like peace, love, humility, selflessness, expandedness etc. and consciously try to manifest more of it through your actions. With each attempt, we strengthen those aspects within. The more we make efforts, the more we can manifest and experience.

We will also have the energies from Goddess Mahalakshmi on all the three days. The energies of each individual’s respective ancestors will also be made available by the Rishis. These energies will help us to understand ourselves better and our roots. With this understanding we can establish a better balance in our lives.

The Rishis too will be anchoring and spreading important energies throughout the Earth. These energies are related to this period and will help in our understanding, stability and growth.

On the Amavasya day, Lord Chandra Deva too will be involved in various astral projects with the Rishis and releasing important energies to the Earth and to humanity. If time permits, practice the Amavasya technique too on the 7th along with the Diwali meditation technique.

Along with the celebrations, try to spend time in contemplation and internalise more. It will be very beneficial. We can practice the following technique for 3 days, from the 6th to the 8th.

Face North
Duration – 1 hour

Begin with 12 rounds of Pranayama with Purplish-Blue Light

Then express your love and gratitude to God (Light), then to Goddess Mahalakshmi and to Chandra Deva (Moon God).

Imagine dark-Purplish-Blue Light coming from God (Light) and from Goddess Mahalakshmi and allow the Light to fill your whole body. Keep experiencing this throughout the Meditation.

Repeat the mantra “Om Antar Tejasayai, Prakasha Brahmaya Namaha” silently.

.

22nd Nov — Shiva Deepa
23rd Nov — Vishnu Deepa, Purnima

The energies of this Purnima and the occasion of Shiva and Vishnu Deepa help each to absorb more Light. During the occasion we shall have the energies from Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu on our Earth. These energies will specially help in the inner cleansing of our system and thereby help us to radiate with Light.

These couple of days are also wonderful periods for contemplation and receiving Light. It will be a very energetic period and the energies help towards better balancing of our Spiritual and Material aspects of life. For those who are working on their inner issues, the energies will help in better acceptance and accommodation. The energies also help to clear a lot of the acquired runas and karmas.

We can practice the following technique on the 22nd and the 23rd.

Face North
Duration – 1 hour

Begin with 12 rounds of Pranayama with bright Golden-Blue Light.

Then express your unconditional love and gratitude to Lord Shiva and to Lord MahaVishnu. You can also place your prayers and concerns to them.

Then imagine bright dark-Blue Light coming from Lord Shiva and Lord MahaVishnu and allow this Light to fill you slowly and gradually.

Keep experiencing the Light and repeat the mantra “Om Shiva Vishnu Shaktiyai Namaha” silently.
